Origin
The origin of the Bloodhound is unknown. Monks from St. Hubert’s abbey bred these dogs. The guiding saint for hunting, Francois Hubert was fond of Bloodhounds and enjoyed producing them to aid in his hunting expedition. Size

Coat

Health
The Bloodhound is generally a healthy breed, and its life expectancy can be anywhere between 10 to 15 years. However, they are still prone to common health issues such as hip and elbow dysplasia, hypothyroidism, ectropion, entropion, epilepsy, fold dermatitis, and gastric dilatation-volvulus.
