Aussiedoodle
Aussiedoodle
The Aussiedoodle is a dog breed that is loyal, friendly, and intelligent and gives you tons of love. It is an ideal choice for pet lovers who want a low-allergen pup. It is one of the most adorable breeds of hybrid dogs with a fluffy coat.
Origin
The Aussiedoodle is a mixed breed that is the result of crossbreeding between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. They were originated in the late 1990s in North America to bring out the best personalities of two famous breeds in one dog. It gained popularity in America as a smart, playful, and cute dog.
Size
The Aussiedoodle comes in a variety of sizes depending upon its parent breed. There are a few standard sizes when it comes to an Aussiedoodle. They are generally small to medium dogs with a shoulder height of 10-15 inches. They weigh around 25-70 pounds. You can expect to be the Cavalier as the dominant trait when it comes to the size of an Aussiedoodle.
Coat
The coat of an Aussiedoodle is a mix of its parent breed. Some have a wavy coat, while others may have a curled coat. They come in various colors, including blue merle, red merle, black and red, grey and white, and black and tan. They have a low shedding coat that they inherit from Poodles and are suitable for allergy sufferers.
Temperament
As the Aussiedoodle is a mixed breed, its temperament can also vary based on the genetic contribution of the parent breed. An Aussiedoodle is generally playful and loyal like a Cavalier and intelligent and energetic like a Poodle. They are family-oriented dogs that get along well with kids and other pets. They are not suitable for kennel living as they require constant human interaction. They love to be with their family and may develop separation anxiety if left alone for a longer time. They must be supervised with young kids to prevent any injury to your pet or your child. They may follow instinct and herd members of the family; however, this behavior can be stopped by training your pet. They are highly intelligent and eager to please their owner, which makes them easily trainable. Early socialization is necessary so that your pet is comfortable with people and other pets.
Care
The Aussiesdoodle is a highly active dog with high energy requirements. They require a lot of exercises and mental stimulation to keep them healthy. They do well in an apartment loving as long as they are taken outside for a walk twice a day or some outdoor adventures and playtime. They enjoy dog sports and respond well to the command of their owner. If your pet has a curly coat, it requires daily brushing or weekly if they have a wavy coat. Grooming is required to keep your dog look clean. Maintain the overall hygiene of your pet by trimming nails, cleaning ears and eyes, and, most importantly, brushing teeth.
Health
The Aussiedoodle may get affected by the same health problems that its parent breeds face. They are prone to health problems, including Hip Dysplasia, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), flea and ticks, and cataracts. Make sure to get the health clearance before you bring this adorable breed home.
