These dogs are a mixed breed of Labrador Retriever and Dachshund parents. These are full of energy and are enough to keep a family and children engaged and entertained all day long.
Origin
While there is no clear evidence of where this breed originated, it is often believed that Dachsador was developed due to the designer dog trend that started a few decades ago. Research says these dogs originated in Germany in the 1400s and were intentionally bred as pet dogs for hunting prey such as wild boars and foxes. Later in the 1800s, they became more popular as companion dogs.

The Labrador Retriever has a coat of two layers with a short and thick bottom, and their top coat is waterproof and soft. So the Daschador has a coat having a mix of two. The Daschador has short but medium hair. Also, the hair is dense and wiry in certain areas. The coat of this breed of dog has a variety of colors. The color varies between black, red, brown, and yellow.

Although they are very active and compassionate, they are known to be very stubborn, and the owner has to be patient enough to handle them. The thing about this breed is that they are very friendly, even if they meet any stranger.

Taking care of a Dachsador is a crucial point to discuss. Although these dogs are cheerful and active, they are not as rigid and robust as other big dogs. They are small and can easily get hurt, just like smaller babies. It is essential to take care of them with patience. They must hold gently from the bottom. Also, the owner must ensure that it doesn’t jump on a height as it may get hurt if they fall. Also, the owner must take them for a bath and also clean their nails. Dachsador prefers vegetables and ground bones. Also, they should be given a protein-rich diet to keep them healthy.
